Iron Disorders Institute mourns the loss of Webb Garrison, the husband of IDI's Executive Director - Cheryl Garrison. Webb passed away Monday, October 3rd, 2011 from heart failure. He was 67. Webb worked as a wildlife artists and in painting reproduction for local artists. Webb was a graduate of Emory University.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Cheryl Garrison; 6 children, Pat Garrison, Webb Garrison III and wife Betty, Greg Garrison and wife Margi, Ben Garrison and wife Annie, Paul Garrison and wife Jannie, and David Garrison; 11 grandchildren, Isaac, Webb IV, Elizabeth Rose, Gus, Bella, Louisa, Sarah, Ben, Anna, Olivia, and Ryder; a sister, Carol Bates; a brother, Bill T. Garrison and wife Mary; 5 nieces, Cindi, Beth, Carol, Meredith, and Anne; a nephew, Patrick; and 9 great nieces and nephews.
Webb's gentle nature and giving heart helped to make Iron Disorders Institute possible. His continuous support and generous spirit will never be forgotten.
There will be a celebration of Webb's life on the July 4th weekend, 2012 at Lake Junaluska.
